My experience

The reason I decided to take on the role of Treasurer within CSA was my strong connection to the association and my desire to contribute more meaningfully to a community I had already been actively involved in for the past two years. During this time, I also served as a member of the Audit Committee, which gave me valuable insight into the responsibilities and scope of the Treasurer’s role and motivated me to step into this position. Serving as Treasurer of the 22nd Board has been an incredibly rewarding experience, through which I have developed many new skills that I could not have anticipated beforehand. Ranging from practical financial and organizational hard skills to essential soft skills such as communication, responsibility, and leadership. Above all, this role has significantly strengthened my leadership abilities while allowing me to give back to the community, both through organizing events and contributing behind the scenes. Alongside my role as Treasurer, I also supervised the Education Committee. In this capacity, I worked closely with a team of motivated, engaged, and ambitious committee members, and together we ensured the successful organization and continuation of the language courses. I could not have wished for a better team as each and every one of them was dedicated and motivated to put in their efforts for the Language Courses. Working with both the Education Committee, the Audit Committee, and my fellow Board members has been an experience I genuinely enjoyed, as it involved close collaboration, shared responsibility, and collective decision-making. Throughout this journey, I have also had the opportunity to meet many inspiring people and build meaningful relationships that I believe will last a lifetime.
