Just like that, one of the most intense and transformative years of my life has come to an end. Having been the Secretary of 22nd Board of CSA has truly been life-changing and I would not have wanted to trade it for anything else.
My year has come with many ups–the joy of creating new interpersonal connections, the pride of seeing our hard work come to life, the moments of collective triumphs that made all our sleepless nights worth it. There were also many downs–the weight of balancing countless responsibilities and challenges that tested our resilience. It was tough and overwhelming, but it was in navigating through that very toughness that the deepest rewards were found. It was in those moments that I realized that it was never about the perfect moments and never about doing everything correctly. It was always about the moments where resilience and trust mattered the most and the people who chose to lead with those.
Being a supervisor of the two busiest event committees has been a great pleasure and it has brought me much love and support, in ways I never expected. Seeing such unique individuals grow over time and seeing the connections grow makes my heart warmer and makes me proud. I have made lifelong friends in all of you and that is perhaps the greatest gift this position has given me.
I am very thankful for all the opportunities and responsibilities I had as the Secretary and it has taught me invaluable knowledge which led me to where I am now. To the past Boards and members of CSA, I offer my sincere gratitude for your legacy, advice and the structures you built. And to those who will follow, cherish this role, for it will challenge you to grow in many ways you cannot yet imagine.
While my term concludes, the lessons learned, the friendships forged and the love felt will resonate long after.
